I love getting a chance to spoil my dad and always feel grateful when i think how lucky i am to have such wonderful family. He got re-married last weekend (after being divorced from my mum for about 18 years) to the most wonderful lady, he's really happy & so are the rest of the family. Chickvic Posted June 19, 2009 Share Posted June 19, 2009 I think my dad is the best! We've had a real rough couple of years and he came through the lot! He had a stroke 2 years ago and were told to 'say goodbye' after being unconcious for 5 days The very next day he started to recover The only side effect being he doesn't have any strength in his arms. Then last year he had to have a double by-pass and because of his history they told us the risk was higher for him to have another stroke - luckily he sailed through the op and he feels fab!
