Hey all,

 

What treats can my chooks have, are around 7 weeks old, what sort of plants do they like? and what are big NOS. any advice would be great!

Well they are still quite young but maybe try them with a red grape chopped in 1/2 or 1/4 depending on the size of your chooks, grapes are my girlies favourite treat.

They also like grass but it MUST be short as long grass can cause crop impaction

A big no is potatoes especially raw, it can really harm your chook and its advised not to give them to your hens

Mine like dandelion leaves but I have to rip them up small so they can manage them when they are young, a little lettuce is ok not too much as it can give them splatty poo

 

Scrambled egg (no milk) or mashed up boiled egg are ok or mashed up cooked potato (not raw as above)

Mine are having sweetcorn this morning!

Cooked too much with the roast yesterday! Also you won't need to chop this up for them, bonus.
