4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

The feeders and drinkers ? I've only been using them for 3 days but I keep having to clear them out as when the girls scratch they have a knack of getting in their food and water - so much so that I am just going to use a deepish ceramic cat bowl for their water.

 

Does anyone else have this problem ?

Although I have a pic of a cube on my signature, I don't actually have a cube, but it is a similar sort of shape !

 

I have a coop bowl attached on the side for grit and i wondered if i should get some bigger ones for the water and feed ?

I'm afraid anything with an open top is liable to get filled with debris. You would be better to get some proper gravity feeders (or a glug and grub from Omlet )

So do you have the traditional style drinkers and feeders?

 

Some come with hooks so that they can be hung off the ground which helps with the flicking of beeding! I have a 2.5l drinker hanging from a hanging basket bracket in my WIR and not only do the girls love to use it but it only gets the crumbs from their faces in it.

 

If your feeders don`t have hooks to hand you could try riasing them up on bricks/paving slabs.

Would a glug/grub thing attach to the chicken wire on my run ?

We have a glug and grub on our eglu run - the food is fine but the water is always full of bark chippings by the end of the day
