Margalot Posted June 24, 2009 Share Posted June 24, 2009 Hi, I wonder if any one can help? Last Christmas we went to Lanzaraote and stayed in Playa Blanca in a villa. We really loved this resort and this Christmas we would like to try Fuerteventura, but I dont know any of the resorts. I have been looking at Correlejo, Jandia, and Caleta de Fuste. We would like a quiet family holiday and as said above if any of the resorts are like Playa Blanca we would be happy. Have any of you visted Fuerteventura and could offer any advice? From looking at some of the reviews online Caleta de fuste has a man made beach but I dont know enough about Jandia of Correlejo? ..lay a little egg for me Posted June 24, 2009 Share Posted June 24, 2009 We stayed in Corralejo some years ago. It is much quieter than the big resorts down south near the airport. We had a great time but rarely left the villa apart from going to the restaurants as we just chilled by the pool so can't tell you too much more! Katy Posted June 24, 2009 Share Posted June 24, 2009 We've stayed in Corralejo and Caleta de Fuste, as resorts Corralejo was great and Caleta de Fuste not so, but to be honest most days we travelled to just north of Jandia were the beaches, sea and sand dunes are absolutely stunning. Jandia itself was much more commercial though. It was several years since we last went, but at the time it seemed that the Brits tended to go mainly to Corralejo and the areas nearer to the airport. Cooks Posted June 25, 2009 Share Posted June 25, 2009 yes but bear in mind some of the hotels are VERY near the airport, we stayed in one yeah before last and I am sure I could see the peoples faces through the windows as they came down to land, they were that close! and it was loud! and the pools were freezing, can you tell I dont like Fuerturventura?
