rabbitfluff
I've currently got my courgettes in 10 inch wide pots, which I thought would be fine, but they're starting to look a bit big for them. Will they be ok left in that size or should I find something bigger for them?
chickencam
You will find that they will probably stagnate a bit until you move them into bigger pots, they are greedy feeders and need loads of water too. I had some in big terracotta pots last year and they didn't really thrive, although last summer was probably not a good test. Use a good John Innes compost for the to retain plenty of moisture and nutrients.
snowcloud
I grew some in pots and they fruited well - just keep them fed and watered really well, as they are very hungry and thirsty and the soil won't provide much. They are best in the ground or even in borders as they look great and fruit well. As with most things, the more room you give them, the better they will grow, but we had lots of meals from our in pots. Good luck.
