Not if the chicks have been hatched in an incubator, they will need a brooder......but if they have hatched under a broody, she and they will be fine in an Eglu.

Its really for broody hens raising chicks.

You could in theory, but you'd have to have a heat lamp in it, which could be a hazard with it being plastic, and outside.

 

You're better off getting a cardboard box or large plastic storage box for the first couple of weeks at least.
