jazzfan
Hi Everyone After dithering for ages I have finally ordered an Eglu and can't wait for it to arrive next week. We live on the Isle of Bute and I wondered if any of you could recommend a good breeder in Ayrshire or somewhere within easy reach. Also wanted friendly chooks so we could have a cuddle once they get to know us are some breeds friendlier than others? Fancied Speckledys or Bluebelles but open to any suggestions. We had Rhode Islands when I was a child but fancied something prettier!!
Egluntyne
Welcome to the forum, Jazzfan. I've moved your post to the 'Chickens' section as it will get more responses.
Ain't Nobody Here
Hello . Nice to see another Scottish Omleteer . The only breeders I know off the top of my head on the west coast are Kintaline and R A Lovett. Hopefully someone from the West will be along soon with more names . ubereglu
Bluebelles are really friendly chickens, with great personalities and they can be quite cheeky. They're easily tamed as well and so make great chickens for the first time keeper. They lay loads of eggs-my two are now four years old and we're still getting 6-8 eggs between the two of them every week at the minute.
