Flubenvet or Verm X

Recommended Posts

welcome to the forum!

there are loads of posts about Vermx and Flubenvet - particularly in the FAQ section. To give you my experience, I started with vermx and quickly changed over to flubenvet. My dishy poultry vet agrees (and he keeps brahmas). Vermx is, in theory, a preventative: it's not a wormer. Flubenvet is FAB stuff - does what it says on the tin and is easy to administer.

Some omleteers have found that having used vermx for a while, when they used flubenvet for the first time the evidence in the chook poos said it all :vom:

Sorry to muscle in on this topic, but what is the egg withdrawl period for flubenvet? Do you have to get it from a vet?

Thanks!!

I work at a vets and have ordered mine thru them. I'm not sure till of arrived if it is a prescription only drug, but all the vets I spoke to said straight away to use flub. As for egg withdrawal it is advertised as zero which I take to mean it shouldn't affect egg production.

I have only used Flubenvet (with very good results) but never tried VermX so can't comment on it.

I bought Flubenvet Intermediate online without prescription – tub lasts 2/3 years – No egg withdrawal. Do shop around for best prices as they change regularily. Here are 3 online suppliers.

You can buy Flubenvet without prescription providing that the seller is a vet, pharmacist, or SQP. (SQP is a holder of an AMTRA certificate. Animal Medicines Training Regulatory Authority)
