meezers
You know that stupid advert with the boy who 'wants to do a poo at Pauls house ' ? Well, I was reminded of that this morning as we watched Ozzy behaving very strangely. She was pacing around the run, up the ramp across the platform, jump down, under the coop, around the run etc etc, all the time bok bokking and stopping to stare into group 1's run. I said to son ' it's as though she wants to be in their run' he agreed, so, out of curiosity we let Ozzy out and she ran down the path to group 1's gate, which I opened for her, she jumped in and went straight into the coop - only to find Pepper in the 'best' nestbox, Pepper was in no way about to share her nestbox with rabble from group2 and pushed ozzy back out , Lottie and Bluebelle took exception to her sharing ground space in their run, so I fished her back out and told her to go lay an egg in her own nestbox - weird chook or what ?? But it was just like ' I want to lay an egg in their nestbox'

dancing cloud
My Dandelion now always lays her eggs in the little girls' , even though she still sleeps in the with the other big girls . One morning she ran so fast from to that I hadn't opened the door, so she stood on the ladder knocking on it with her beak till I let her in. Think she must have had her legs crossed for a while, as she barged her way into the nestbox and laid almost immediately Funny creatures aren't they?
