Hi all!

i'm planning on have a 6ft by 9ft run built by husband! i just have to arrange materials and plan it!!!

So this is where i need your advice! If you made a homemade one what materials did you use?

or if you brought one what do you feel is the best of your run?

Also when i have one can i just lay slabs down rather than cementing them in?

thank you

i got my corrugated plastic roof sheets at wickes, i think they were about £6 each,

definitely get weldmesh from http://www.hillsofdevon.co.uk/ they're really cheap and excellent customer service :D

the wood was the most expensive thing, but my wir is 21ft long and 6 1/2 foot wide :D

here's the link to the pics, from preparation to end result of my wir

I got mine from Aviaries4U (as have many other Omleteers). They are not the cheapest WIR's available, but they are arguably the best, and certainly fantastic value for money.

Mine was from the 'Standard' aviary set, sized at 15ft x 6ft. Prices for standard runs are shown on the A4U website. I added a few of my own 'extras', like guttering. The run is set on 400mm x 400mm slabs from Wickes, which were laid on an earth bed, with 2" layer of building sand.

Construction timeline photographs here. Details of roof, doors and gutters here. Full length slideshow here.

Hope this helps.

Andrew
