lyd119
how long does the bag actually last and how big is it? sorry about all the questions Lydia
vikpow
the bag is 1.25kg so not very big, just a bit bigger than a bag of sugar. I put about 2 handfuls of grit in a bowl about 5 weeks ago and its hardly been touched! My girls do free range all day tho and one has just started laying perfect eggs so they must be getting enough grit while in the garden. Have you got any chickens yet? ubereglu
We bought a 25kg bag of mixed grit for Mole valley and it lasted about 3 and a half years-not bad as it was only about £5.

Hen Watch
Hi, I got my mixed poultry grit from CWF 2 years ago, massive 25kg bag and I've only used a tiny bit so far. It's not on their website and I guess stock depends on which store you visit. However this is my email from them back in 2007. Remember the prices will be from 2007..... Thank you for your email and apologies for the delay in getting back to you. Countrywide stock the following poultry grits: Chick Grit 25kg = £6.49 Hen Grit 25kg = £5.49 Marine Shell Grit (oyster shell) 25kg = £6.99 Mixed Poultry Grit 25kg = £5.49 The pieces of the grits are different sizes according to the size/age of the bird. If you wish to check stock availability at the *****store, please contact them on ********** Kind regards, Ecommerce Manager Countrywide Farmers Plc.
