4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Hubby just went out to check on the girls and he came running back saying there was an egg in the nesting box I went out too and spotted another in the run

 

We thought Penny was coming into lay, and that Matilda was getting there, so do you reckon it will be one each? Or do they sometimes lay 2 in a day? Just seems a coincidence that they would both start laying on the same day!

 

We're thinking that hubby might pop out before the kids in the morning and put one back in for them to find, cos they've been so excited about checking for eggs

Two of my girls started laying within a day of each other so it could be they've both started .

Thanks We were just so sure that Penny would be laying first, we hadn't considered we might get 2 on the same day!

 

They are quite little, 35g and 38g, but big enough to get some pancakes out of tomorrow for a treat for the kids

the next thing is that you start waiting for your first 6 egg day (or however many girls you have)! have only ever achieved the full house once, and I took a photo of the collection for the records.
