Hello people

 

Has anyone had an ovarian cyst. I wondered what the symptoms were. I've got a pain in my left side in that area and wondered if thats what it might be. I've had my gall bladder removed but I've still got the same pain I had before my op! Going through a process of elimination at the moment to think of what might be causing me discomfort.

 

All ideas welcome!

I've had an ovary removed due to a cyst but that was to do with my family cancer history. Don't want to worry you but I'd be off to your GP's requesting an ultrasound a.s.a.p. Most of the time cysts are fine but need to be looked at quickly.

Def go to your docs... I had one burst abut 8 years ago and the pain was unbearable... much worse than labour!

Extremely painful & uncomfortable. I had one that caused my appendix to become inflamed & be removed. They didn't remove the cyst - just cleaned it up & left it as they were worried that messing with my ovaries, would spoil any chances of having children.

I don't want children anyway - so wish they'd removed it. That was when I was 14, I'm now 34 & had no further problems - except for discovering I have polycystic ovaries.

I have polycystic ovaries too, which can be painful.

 

I'd see the GP if I was you.

Well just got back from having a scan on my stomach and pelvis and there is nothing going on in there for me to worry about! Phew. No cysts and all my organs measure what they should do .... so now i'm thinking it might be an ulcer because there is no doubt I have pain in my stomach on my left side ..... relieved its nothing else though

Blinding pain when one bursts, with the risk of health complications - if in doubt see Dr and insist on investigation.
