Just read the "chickens on a train" thread and wondered.....

 

...we are flying up to Edinburgh later on today and I was wondering if I could take half a dozen eggs with me in my handbag?!

 

Any thoughts........?

mmm a difficult one. The restrictions are still on liquids in hand baggage but I do advise passengers they can take a small amount of food on for their own consumption onto the aircraft. You may get stopped at security and then again you may not.....entirely your risk.

Hmm - I'm not sure whether to risk it or not.

 

Best scenario - we can enjoy yummy eggs for breakfast with our friends in the morning.

 

Worst scenario - 6 eggs in the bin at EMA.

Someone's OH (forgive me, I can't remember names!) had eggs in his luggage as he was returning to work abroad after a weekend at home, and had to hand them over at the airport.

 

Hopefully you could persuade the check-in people to take them home and eat them, rather than them ending in the bin!

We didn't bring them in the end - no room in or hand luggage!! I'll ask at the airport on our way back...in the mean time we are off to find haggis and shortbread!!
