jjmack
Almost made my decision and am pretty sure I am going for an eglu rather than wooden coop due to a number of reasons. Only thing I am now concerned about is rats. They like to nest under things so alot of the wooden coops are raised off the ground as is the cube. Has anyone had an issue of nests under the eglu? I know I can raise it on blocks or a table but the the run won't fit and they will need to be in this for a bit of the day. Any ideas, comments gratefully received. Ness3103
my eglu is on a table in my wir but i wouldn't have thought there'd be room for rats to nest underneath the eglu if it was flat on the ground. i also haven't seen any evidence of rats in the run, i take the food in at night so maybe that's why. Egluntyne
If you are unlucky enough to get rats, you could follow some of the advice **here**. There are a couple of other threads about rats on the go in this section of the forum, for further info.
