we ordered it Friday & it's being delivered Saturday.

 

I'm not prepared at all...is there a checklist anywhere suggesting what needs to be done to keep out foxes, keep the floor in good order?

 

I was wondering it it can just be made up on grass & then as time goes on, if I can add wood (or bark ?) chippings ?

You could assemble it on grass but would need a wire skirt or slabs around the edge to stop things burrowing in, also bear in mind if you sit it straight on grass the wood wont last as long, perhaps put some sacrifical wood around as a base!

WIR has been delivered & is up !!

 

Arrived & the guy put it up in about an hour - very impressive drill skills

 

It is just up on grass, but he suggested putting it on slabs, otherwise the wood will rot. It's fairly close the to house, but I think we will resite it at the bottom of our garden.

 

Until we've fox proofed it, I think I'll keep the run on the eglu to keep my girls safe.

 

I also think we'll site it on slabs in the near furture. Have a large area of wasted space in our garden which needs attention...

 

It has a something that sounds like udolne roof ? it's black, which although is shady isgood for south facing garden.

 

The only negative is that it's an orangey terracotta, so will be out with the green/brown wash...at some stage.

 

Oh we went with chirpy coops on ebay, thanks to all help.
