Chicks with watery p-oos

Recommended Posts

Hi every one,

we are new to this forum and this is our first post. We have purchased Five buff Orpington chicks and they have very watery poos, some clear with bits of food in and some milky white. They are five weeks old and we have had them a week.

We would be very gratful if anyone has any suggestions.

many thanks

Thanks for the the replies, they are being fed on chick crumb and are off heat during the day when it is warm and are under an electric hen at night. They eat very well and also drink as normal and seem happy enough in them selfs.

many thanks Briggsy

Just to let all those that replied to my post that the chicks have settled down now and their poos are normal. We tried giving them a compost tray with new bought compost in.

They had a great time scratting around having a dust bath and also eating it. Wether this did the trick or not, who knows.

many thanks Briggsy
