We had a few some caterpillars one year, in a kind of rectangular plastic fish tank with a lid (you know what I mean! ), we gave them a cardboard tube from a toilet roll and they spun their pupa in it and after a few weeks turned into butterflies Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

We had a Humming-Bird Hawk Moth in our garden once Unfortunately not our picture, it flew away so quickly I have just spent the weekend in the South of France and we saw some there, they were mesmorising and we stood watching one for ages.
