kjmansi Posted July 27, 2009 Share Posted July 27, 2009 I have a five month old pekin that has recently started laying but has begun making quite loud hiccuping shrieks. She is still feeding, but less enthusiastically, pooing fine but is more subdued than her mates. No runny nose or sneezing, she extends her neck when she makes the noise. She choked on a newt(!) last week and we were quite vigorous trying to help her - she was going blue and in huge distress, but she seemed fine since! We have a bluebelle who always announces when she's done, I have the feeling though that she's not well, she's staying very close to us and seems very subdued, they are usually so chuffed after laying! She's flicking her head too, I wondered about gape but that is a silent mouth movement? Plum, thank you, perhaps a hot toddy!
