chickenanne
Just in case anyone who it impacts is unaware: European Foul Brood (EFB) has been discovered last month in Scotland, Perthshire originally but it seems much more widespread, suspected cases in Stirlingshire/Angus/Fife... In checking for EFB, bee inspectors have also discovered AFB (American Foul Brood) also in Perthshire. Both are notifiable diseases. Best place to look for more info is the Scottish Beekeepers Assoc web-site.
Lesley
The info was in our last Association newsletter - I'm glad we're back to our normal routine of checking the hive weekly.
