Where to go for lunch with kids around Stratford?

Recommended Posts

Can anybody recommend a pub/restaurant with a play area somewhere in the Stratford area?

We are meeting up with cousins who are renting a holiday home in Evesham, we live near Oxford and thought it would be a good place to meet.

Their kids are 3 and 6, and ours are 15/16, and we will also have grandma with us. The older ones love the little ones, but only way it is ever going to work is if there is a play area (preferrably indoors) !

Many thanks for any ideas at all!

It the weather that is the problem!

We came up with Stratford as an ideal venue ages ago cos there's lots of space and distractions.

Maybe we'll just have to settle for a family-friendly place to eat and hope they can all run around outside before/after!

Any more ideas anyone?

Having spent last evening searching through pub recommendation websites (all useless!) we are widening our requirements - so:

Anyone any ideas of anywhere family friendly for 5 adults, 2 teens and 2 little ones for lunch on saturday!

Anywhere easily accessible from both Evesham and Oxford - with something to do/see for an hour or so after lunch

Would be grateful of any suggestions at all

Hello.......There are so many places to eat in Stratford that it's difficult to know where to start............

There is a place right by the river called Cox's Yard - it has two areas, a pub with good food(although haven't been for ages) and a cafe - both share the outside courtyard area right on the riverside. It is yards from the Bancroft Gardens, the Theatre (still under construction, but nearly finished) and the Recreation Ground and Butterfly Farm. There is also a buffet style restaurant in the middle of the Recreation Ground.

I can find links for you and PM you about car parks? - parking in Stratford is horrendous now and all the town centre streets 'on street parking' is only half an hour now, and costs a fortune.
