holiday house swap..

as in most of us have pets/choox/kids etc, and find it hard to go anywhere, so could we organise a swap for a week sort of idea, lwhere people "move into" each others houses for their hols.. just a thought

we did these for years when the kids were small: through the NCT House swap register. Lots of holidays in Wales and the Lake District and we got a child friendly house to stay in and pet-sitters while we were away. The only downside is having to leave a tidy house when you go (but you get a tidy one to return to as well!).

We were thinking of doing this for 2012 - only 45 mins from here to Stratford - 15 to the station then 30 from there. I want to go to Australia though - don't think we have any omleteers there.

I could be persuaded. We are 30-45 mins into centre of Manchester train/car. 5 mins to Peak District. Peak Forest canal at bottom of lower garden. Close to Yorkshire moors etc. Station is 5 mins. Brand new kitchen!!!! Lake District 1.5 hours......
