susiepoos
I'm sure Sarah has a blocked crop - it's very full and hard to touch and she's looking very sorry for herself and her comb is drooping - I've read all the advice about what to do but how much olive oil to you give her and how many maggots?? Thanks
Egluntyne
I'd give her about a desert spoonful of olive oil to start with and repeat later if you can.....and as many maggots as you can get her to take. I'd keep her off pellets for now and just give her water and home made sugar free apple sauce for the rest of today. Hourly massage of the crop will help too. susiepoos
Thanks for that Egluntine - she's taking sips of water and has eaten a couple of maggots - I'll try the apples later. What would I do without this site??
Plum
I found it took a couple of days to get it clear so keep going
