insects and brassicas

Recommended Posts

I have just planted some spinach, spring onion, cauliflower and purple sprouting broccoli in my raised veg patch.

Now assuming my little darlings last long enough not to get eaten by the local wildlife i don't want them to get eaten by the caterpillars.

I have heard that i can cover them with something to prevent the butterflies getting there and laying the eggs but don't know what sort of fabric it is i am looking for.

Any ideas welcome!!!

I love my enviromesh :D

We have had fab brassicas this year, so many cauliflowers :D all clean as a whistle.

We find that it keeps the butterflies out but not the whitefly, so last year we removed the mesh over the winter, but we forgot to put it back on before the pigeons started to look for fresh greens and lost most of our PSB.
