He will still be getting the hormones out of his body after the operation, but then they still do that - my two girls bunnies do it and it's a sort of dominance/pecking order thing.

 

I'd strongly recommend that you get the female done too as girl bunnies suffer from a very high incidence of uterine cancer if they're not spayed. They can also get rather hormonal and aggressive when they are ready to mate. Both my girls are spayed and are a lot better behaved as a result. She will be ready for spaying at about 6 months old.
