bigmommasally
Maude has laid our 1000th egg today Here's our breakdown: Doris 306 eggs Gwen 257 eggs Maude 196 eggs Alice 173 eggs and Mary 68 eggs - Bless her - she doesn't get the whole egg laying thing!! Percentage of eggs from number of days: Doris 92% Gwen 85% Maude 63% Alice 61% Mary 31% Doris may not have laid the 1000th egg but she is our star layer And considering Alice is in her 4th broody spell this year I think her tally is quite good too. Sue and the Spice Girls
A friend of mine did certificates for all my girls at 250,500 etc eggs!, the only trouble was I caouln't identify the three Welsummer's eggs so they will have to be certificateless. My two new girls, Nutmeg and Vanilla will lay very brown and blue eggs respectivley so I should be able to identify them!
