I was expecting a delivery of cream legbar eggs today to hatch under my broody. I waited in until after 12 for the postie but the kids were nagging me to take them out and as postie normally leaves parcels behind the bin I decided to risk it. When we got back there was one of those little cards to say they have been taken back to the sorting office, most enoying thing is that postie came about 5 minutes after we left! Very sad, realistically what chances are there of them hatching now? I suppose an extra day wont make to much difference, I hope

Some eggs I'd ordered had the same problem. They're doing just fine. Just remember to rest them poit down for 24 hours before starting incubation.

Depends when they were laid. They should be OK for a week from that date.

They should be fine, as others have said, rest them before setting.

 

Are you able to collect them from the sorting office?

Just to let you know, I have collected them this morning. They are all intact and beautiful and blue. The seller has assured me they are mega fresh and he has excellent feedback and hatch rates so heres hoping!
