Eggquisite
Hello everyone, Just got back from the vets, poor Rhubster has a worm infection we have just given him his first batch of oral medicine & he's been told to rest now isolated from the others . So, fingers crossed he's going to be ok, we have to take him back to the vets tomorrow but we have been warned he may not make it through It's amazing how attached you become, I was quite choked when the vet said he may not make it! The vets bill came to more than what we paid for him but he's one of our first chooks & we want to give him the best chance. Off for a glass of wine now to chill out by Rhuster's bedside well until I need another glass that is OH says it could be chicken pie for dinner tomorrow...noooooooooo
Daphne
chin up - they are certainly a rollercoaster. I'm sure we'll all be rooting for him, you're never completely on your own you know - we do understand. I think a glass of wine is well deserved

Eggquisite
Oh no... we've just been to shut the girls in bed for the night & it sounds like our other Light Sussex Custard has the same rattling symptoms as Rhubster We've weighted all the chooks as per the vets request so we'll be collecting some more antibiotics tomorrow what a total nightmare. The croaking sounds so nasty, feeling helpless at the moment
