Hi Guys

I have decided to broach ( wear OH down  )

about the superior benefits of building me a WIR

especialy as he has agreed to help me slab the whole area

the cube +run currently occupies

I need your input and lots of them for the pro's

bearing in mind he does not share my chicken passion

or extra work :!: But he does moan about the untidyness of the

cube run etc the damage they do when they escape over the Omlet Netting

I cant bear to keep them cooped (parden the pun ) in the cube run but would

be happy to confine them to a WIR :D

arguments for please :!::!::!:

You can sell the cube run to help part fund it

The vertical space it provides would mean they wouldnt need to free range as much

A proper roof means no tarps so less of the Glastonbury effect

A bigger door makes it easier to clean out so you could do that on your own while he watches the footie

you can leave them in the WIR for a weekend and they will be fine,

you wont have the issue of "attacks" as they will be totally secure

you can lock them in, so even human intruders wont cause problems

if the WIR has a good roof, then you can get in with the chickens when its raining (ok, maybe im clutching at straws at with this one  )

you can get more chickens :D

My OH doesnt share my passion for chickens either. My lot used to have the

cube with the run and used to freerange a lot of the day but he constantly moaned

they were trashing his garden and making a hell of a mess, which they were!!

and if I am honest I got fed up of cleaning up after them at the end of the day.

So he said I will Make you a WIR on condition they stay in there 24/7. Well He made

a fab job of it they have lots more room and its so easy to clean out. They seem

happy enough most of the time but I do feel a little guilty about not letting them roam

the garden but him indoors is happy.
