one of my bluebells have laid their first egg!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Just thought id let everybody know that one of my bluebells laid her first egg this morning. :D

Was the size of a creme egg, ever-so sweet! :D

Thought something was happening as ginger was causing a riot and kept going in and out of the Eglu. Shes so moody! as soon as i got the creme egg out, in she went and laid her own. :anxious:

Well just need bluebell - daisy to lay now. and the orps but I'm not holding my breath, their so dumb i don't think they'll be able to concentrate long enough!! :roll::roll::lol::lol:

still waiting x

Congratulations on your egg. :clap: I'm curious though. Do bluebells always lay little eggs? Our bluebelle, Bluebelle (imaginatively named by our son) has just started laying and her eggs are tiny. Smaller than a cream egg. It is making us chuckle :lol: she makes such a fuss and noise about laying them, and she is so much bigger than Daisiy who pops out huge eggs at least twice the size without so much as a murmur.

Cheers

Hi Gruffalo, ha ha i cant believe that, my bluebells are called (wait for it!) bluebell and daisy :lol::lol::lol:

I think they lay med/large eggs. and what do you mean smaller than a creme egg, in my eyes creme eggs are this small, but your right it probably is!!! i was just so chuffed.

My Sussex's eggs look like dinosaur eggs in comparison :shock::lol::lol:

The bluebells are quite dumb so they also get Kevin and perry as names too! :lol::dance:

just waiting for daisy and the orp babies, patsy and edina (aka squeak and beep beep) to start laying now! :roll::roll::D

Update :dance::dance:

Daisy the blue belle laid an egg today too. I had two tiny ones and one was broken unfortunately :( but even so there both on the right track. :D:D !!

the shells today were quite brittle compared to yesterdays creme egg! is that normal for them to lay a good shell, then a bad one? One today was as round as a football!! :shock::shock::shock: oouch! :lol::lol:
