AJuff
My free wool and scarf patterns came from the Rowan club today. Anyone else got theirs? Both scarf patterns are lush and i don't know which one to make!!! I want to knit and sew all day but it's time to start making dinner. Anyone else feel life gets in the way of crafting? bigmommasally
I want to knit and sew all day but it's time to start making dinner. Anyone else feel life gets in the way of crafting? Definitely!!!! I got a lovely new sewing machine yesterday and was happily playing on it until - hubbie popped his head round the door at 7.45pm and said "Are you making any dinner tonight or should I get something?" Poor love was starving
Plum
What machine did you get Sally? Mine broke yesterday so gone for repair £58 + parts Lucky I have a back up. The evening should be longer so I can carry on crafting. Its always time to go to bed when I am on a role. Can anyone arrange for another day in the weekend please What are these scarf patterns then? bigmommasally
What machine did you get Sally? A Husqvarna, she's loveeeleeee I'm saving up for a Horn Cabinet now so we can have the dinning room table back. Sorry yours has broke, poor thing is probably in need of a little rest. Ajuff - sorry have gone off your original topic - but would love to see the scarf you make
AJuff
I'd love to show you the scarf I knit but I think someone will get there before me!! I am still finishing off a quilt for my niece (May 2001!!) and a green crotchet cardigan I started at the beginning of the summer. I don't want to start anything new just yet!!! Also I have just got a new sewing machine too!! A Janome machine which is lush compared to my old Brother machine. I think a metal body makes all the difference really. Plum
We'll have to see the stitches you've cast on then. Can't talk I've been making a scarf on big needles and less than 20 stitches for about 2 years. I have er several quilts not finished, quite a few cross stitch projects and I moan at my OH for not getting jobs done. All these new machines! Should be lots of projects to display soon, we'll need a Omlet craft exhibition at this rate.
Vivihen
Yes. I thought that when retirement age arrived I would have SO much time but with three other adults in the house all working different shift patterns the day is full of interruptions. A Husqvarna, she's loveeeleeee I'm saving up for a Horn Cabinet now so we can have the dinning room table back. I first bought a Husqvarna thirty-one years ago, which I gave to my daughter when I bought a new one. Sometimes I regret that decision althought the old one is metal and quite heavy it is still going strong and standing up to some quite rough treatment!
