It would affect resale value, but that's not a problem if you don't want to sell it. Have you seen the stickers in the Eglu shop? You could just use some of those to change the way it looks a bit? Or there's a site here that sells decals for wheelie bins, you would have to cut-and-fold a bit but you could get something really jazzy to change the appearance!
