esta
I have noticed that my chookies neck feathers arent growing. I think this is down to Joan, the dominant leader, as i have seen her stand there pulling them out and the other chickens stand there and let her do it. Please can someone tell me how i can stop this Thanks esta x

Seagazer
I have this problem with one of my girls. I think she had a bit of a moult and now when the feathers start to come through the others have a nip at her. I've got to keep on top of the spray and do it more regularly. I also worry that it happens because she is bored. She stalks up and down the WIR and seems to rub her feathers as she is doing it. I wonder if this is rubbing the feathers off before they have the chance to grow properly. This is usually only when she knows someone is in the kitchen or garden and she can see us. The rest of the time she seems fine but I do worry that she is exhibiting stress. The other two are fine and they don't seem to be pecking at her all the time just now and again. It is a bit worrying.
