Leicester_H
Those that have read my earlier thread (http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=51138&sid=b027105f1ad228333025e4b56fbaf017) will know that Boo has not taken to my 2 new girls. She seems to think they are her play things. They have been free ranging 'together' (well they're all out together but the 2 new girls steer well clear of Boo) for about 4 weeks now. When we put them all in the run togther (after 2 weeks), they simply cowered in the corner ALL the time with Boo periodically attacking them. After 3 days of this, I seperated them. I plan to try them all in together again at the weekend, when they can be supervised, but we're not hopeful. If Boo is as bad, I don't want the 2 new girls cowering in fear all their waking hours. So I was considering getting a 2nd eglu (I have run already) and keeping them separate (approx 2m apart so in full view of each other) and letting them free range together (which is only about 1 hour a day). Would this satisfy Boo's need for company ? She seems OK with this arrangement at present (she was clearly pining for Chikki (who died) before we got the 2 new girls) Then if Boo did come round (eventually), mix them and get some new girls in the (now empty) 2nd eglu & run. What do you think ?? H
Space Chick
I'd persevere for a bit longer yet Hazel, unless you want an excuse to buy a second Eglu
Egluntyne
Sounds like a plan. A bit of solitary whilst the new girls find their feet and amke friends might turn things around.
Leicester_H
I'd persevere for a bit longer yet Hazel, unless you want an excuse to buy a second Eglu I'd rather NOT get another Eglu (just from the space point of view) - I just wish Boo wouldn't terrorise them. Will try to mix them again. Sounds like a plan. A bit of solitary whilst the new girls find their feet and amke friends might turn things around. Fingers crossed. Boo's not really in solitary. She can see them all the time. She seems quite happy having her own pad to live in!

Leicester_H
Erm..... I said I thought is sounded like a plan. Sorry - I thought you were saying temporary seperation sounded like a plan. Have tried to re-introduce them ,and Boo is persistently making Lily's life hell. She might as well be a battery hen if she can only cower in a corner all day and not get food & water. So we are almost certainly going to get a 2nd eglu. Thanks, H
