sadietoo
Went to Golden Vale Poultry in Grayshott yesterday (on the recommendation of Wild Mum...thanks Sha, they are really lovely there, and were so helpful too) and now am proud mum to two Goldlines, called Kipper and Not ( don't ask). ...In comparison to my lovely Doodle and Do these girls are HUGE!! Anyway they are a bit subdued but are eating and drinking well. Needed quite a bit of encouragement to go into the Eglu last night (basically I had to post them in through the egg port ) then they took some time to come out this morning...but they are fine and tonight I will have an extra weapon at my disposal...grapes! I'm not going to let them free range for a week or so to give us a chance to get to know each other! The fox was in the garden in the wee small hours again though, because I could hear it scrabbling around trying to get out again (so we have had at least a partial success in cramping his or her style). Tonight I will put the foxwatch on....last night I had forgotten to buy batteries for it I've never seen one around here in the daytime.we don't have urban foxes here so thankfully they aren't quite so bold or used to humans But my girls will only have supervised free ranging anyway... Will post some pics when I get the chance....at the moment this is the only working 'pooter in the house and I am low in the pecking order for using it
