4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Hello All, cleaned out the poop trays and found 1 shelless egg and 2 softies, they are all happy and eating, two girls were in the nest box today but only one egg laid got 4 in total. Could it be just this time of year with shorter nights. I dont want to worry if they are all happy. I have put cod liver oil in their feed today so hope that makes a difference, any other advice welcome

One of my two Omlet girls (probably about 20 months old now) is frequently laying softies on the roosting bars. I have just accepted it as, even with limeflour supplements, it keeps happening. When she does have a shell on it, it is really thin and the white is all water.

 

I thought that it was just an age thing but someone with more experience will probably be able to offer more advice.

I have just had 2 softies from one of my girls so added some Limestone Flour to their food. Maybe worth trying this or Zolcal D, both give the girls the added calcium they need.

 

Seemed to fix my girl in 2 days and eggs are back to normal.
