jenniewren76
When they moult how much feathers do they lose? when does it usually occur? and how long does it last? I've had my girls since may and everything is going great..except they have eaten all my grass!!!! ooh just thought of another question...Do they need to eat grass, because they are looking longingly at the fenced off part of the garden and they are not having it ..I guess the grass certainly is greener on the other side!!!!! just preparing my self for the next event and I always find this place is better than any book I could by Thanks in advance any other advice I may need to know as winter approaches would be much appreciated. quickcluck
I think they can lose any amount of feathers..... There is a mini moult or a full moult where I think they can go almost bald. Whilst they are moulting though feed them extra protein to help with the feathers and you will find they stop laying My girls are 18mths old and no moult as yet
redfrock
some of mine are nearly 3 and are running around with barely any clothes on They seem to be moulting more the older they get. Some seem to go for the strip off all at once look and others prefer the single garment at a time
xScrunchee
They do not need to eat grass but might enjoy some greens hung up in the run. Cabbage, spring greens- things like that. As for moulting, my Rose is 2 and a half and is having her first ever big moult. The three newbies are having mini moults
