My sister told me about them as she gets the medium box (there is her, hubby and two boys aged 2 and 4). As there are 5 of us here, and my kids eat adult portions I've gone for the large box. Bit dubious that there will be enough potatoes and carrots Just wondered if anyone had tried them and what they were like.

I haven't used that particular company but have used some organic box deliveries but I stopped because I found that the keeping quality was poor, and that it didnt last the whole week

 

I shall be interested in how you find this company

Not for me, even the small box would be too much, quantity wise.

Good value though. I just compared it online to a shop at sainsbury's.

I got to nearly £12 and stopped, that was all the veg, the salad, and the apples and bananas. So the rest of the fruit would be free!

I have just received my first box from 5aday and overall am happy with it. In it I got

1 large cos lettuce

1 large lollo rosso

4 large toms

9 cherry toms

4 leeks

2 orange peppers

5 corn on the cob

1 minute cauli

6 large plums

4 very large peaches

7 conference pears

1 sm pineapple

6 bananas

500g pack of grapes

1 honeydew melon

8 large braeburn apples

1 marrow

1 cucumber

5 small onions (about 700g)

1kg salad potatoes

1kg coxes apples

1kg (2 small) butternut squashes

just over 1kg carrots (7 large ones)

2kg white estima potatoes

 

My only gripes, which I have just emailed them about are the cauli is soooo small and almost half the grapes are mouldy My girls shared a peach and they said it tasted really nice. I shall let you know how things last and if they get back to me about the problems.
