dippy bird
is it that my girlies don't bother laying any eggs all morning, but as soon as I decide to disinfect their coop and need to leave it for a couple of hours to dry out, they all start pecking at the flippin door to get in? I am afraid the little monkeys are just going to have to squeeze their little fluffy butt cheeks together until I can let them back in! C&T
Our is exactly the same!! She also won't go into lay if she feels she might be missing out on anything! Hops in but as soon as sees you, she runs out again to make sure we aren't dishing out treats in her absence!! Got to the point the other weekend of having to hide in the house in the morning, with the blinds closed, wait for her to lay, so can then clean the coop in the afternoon
dippy bird
I think they are all as bad as each other, luckily as soon as I managed to set it all up again, two went in and produced lovely for me.They must have been bursting! Mind you, still waiting for lazy Judy to produce her lovely for us so that I can actually do some baking this afternoon!
PeggySue1
With our three the "she might have treats" game is at bedtime. They all go in on their own at nightfall, but I'm sure they take turns on sentry duty, because as soon as one hears the back door opening, out they all come. I have now taken to creeping around the edge of our garden so that "lookout girl" dosn't hear me. I think I will have to start commando training when the leaves fall from the trees. Goodness knows what the neighbours think
dippy bird
You may need to learn to skirmish - just be careful of skirmishing through the chicken poop!!
