2009 Omlet cube and run for sale

Well I've took the plunge at 16:15 this afternoon(Friday 18/09/2009) I open the door in the great divide to let my 2 small flocks have access to each others runs so far so good all that's happened is they swaped runs

That's good news . That's kind of what happened when I removed my Great Divide (love that ) .

they go into each other runs when they free range but from a differant way

 

 

I only left the till 4:45 before I let them out but all seemed fine

just got a bit snappy towards bed time but that seems to be par for the course but the rest of the time the big girls put up with the upstarts

Are you finding that a lot? I noticed tonight that Maisie was stalking the wee ones this evening and having a peck whenever she got close enough. It was almost dark and the other two were already in bed .

 

I'm thinking sharing an eglu might not happen as soon as I'd planned .

yes it's mainly big red she's fine most of the time then will have a peck at one or two then case my CLB the one that really wants to be frends then the next minute she's happy to let them stand right next to her. now last night the was no trouble at all tonight about 7:30 cyclone had a go at road runner for no reason I thourght it had resulted in wing damage but it just put some out of place

Saturday :- well I've opened the great divide and left them to it so far it seem peacefull but that might be cause big red is 'working' and cyclone gets seperation issues when she's on her own

well today is day 4 of my 5 girls sharing runs so far theres been no blood drawn and thr runs don't look like the aftermath of a fight in a feather pillow factory. the youngsters are allowed to stand next to the big girls has long as there's no treats on offer when they are out in the garden.and they're starting to stand up for themselves so fingers crossed I can think about putting them in the big girls house in a couple of weeks time for a sleep over

We had an inadvertant sleepover last night . Poppy chose to go into the eglu, leaving Penny in the pet carrier . Perhaps she got an invite and Penny didn't .

 

Popped Penny in the eglu too and all seemed well this morning. They don't know what the pet carrier is for though, it's causing great confusion .
