4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

I am pretty sure our , Gertie, is broody - been on the nest box all day, drop in eggs for a couple of days, refusing to move, making odd little noises - so we've followed the advice of the post in the FAQ section and put a flowerpot in the nest box (she didn't like!)

 

The problem is that we're out of the house all day tomorrow and Saturday so what would happen if i leave the flowerpot in place all day - would the other two girls just lay on the bars?

 

Obviously ideally we'd be here to move the pot out of the way, but we're not so I'm stuck.

 

Any advice gratefully received!

I would remove the pot and let the others lay. If she is clamped to the nest, they will sit on top of her to lay or force her out

 

Put the pot back in when you get back and hopefully she will snap out of it soon.
