lew
Eileen and Beryl have just started laying (first egg 17 Sept) but have settled into a predictable albeit frustrating pattern. We are getting two lovely eggs one day followed by one egg and two softies the next. Through reading posts on the forum (what a godsend you are ) I understand that it takes a while for them to get into the swing of things. My question is, how long before I should start adding limestone flour to the food or something? They do have a pot mixed poultry grit and one of oyster shell in their run and I sprinkle some on their layers pellets. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank You Lesley
Ain't Nobody Here
I probably wouldn't do anything just yet. It's only been a week so it may well settle down within another week or so. Let us know if it's still happening a week down the line .
sjp
I'd put a slug of cod liver oil in they're feed a couple of days a week the vit D will help them absorbe the calcium also a few dried meal worms as a treat 2 or 3 times a week
