4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Hi Everyone,

 

I have recently brought 3 Warren hens 2 of which seem to be really active however the other seems really subdued and seems to be pecking at herself quite abit she also has quite a dull comb. Anybody any ideas on what may be wrong with her?

 

They haven't yet produced any eggs I believe that could be because of there move and they are just getting ised to there surrounding. None of them seem to be eating the layers pellets on offer they do however seem to be eating there afternoon treat of corn. any suggestions on what I can do??

 

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Hello there

 

When a hen isnt in lay, thier combs shrink and go pale. Check her for worms, mites?? They will probably eat the layers pellets eventually, why not mix a bit of corn amongst the pellets? might tempt them a little

Thank you for the reply. The chicken in question seems to be the smallest of my bunch she also seems to have greesy feathers more so on her head is this a tell tale sign of mites? I have some red mite killer and am going to dust them when i put them to bed tonight. Hopefully this works.
