NO eggs 1 week

Recommended Posts

Suddenly after a great laying spurt all 5 of my girls have stopped - could they be moulting? They have had a bit of a stomach upset loose very brown poos and are fine now but that hasn't stopped them before - all very strange they seem very happy eating and active but not one egg! Any thoughts v appreciated

I'd cut down on all treats and only allow free ranging in the afternoons so that they eat their pellets and I'd also worm them with Flubenvet if they haven't been done for a while.

How old are they and are they hybrids or pure breeds? If the latter, they could be winding down their laying now that the days are shortening.

If they are hybrids that are a couple of years old, they could be slowing down in anticipation of a moult.
