K-F-C
My chickens are about 32 weeks old... KiKi laid every day since I got her but stopped last week after going broody for a couple of days CiCi has only ever laid 3 or 4 eggs per week but has also stopped laying for about a week or so. FiFi has only laid a wind egg... about two weeks ago but nothing since. They all seem in good health, are lice free, eating well etc... Their poop seems normal. They have all had verm-x etc... Any ideas? Is it worth worming them?
Ain't Nobody Here
Verm-x is not generally rated as a good wormer . I'd use Flubenvet .
Jools
Could they be about to start moulting? I've gone from half a dozen eggs a day down to one in the past two weeks and now the place looks like an explosion in a pillow factory! On the subject of worming, Verm-X works by making the gut inhospitable to worms, which keeps any worm burden down to a level the bird can cope with. Flubenvet kills any worms present at the time of worming and you'll often see them as they are expelled. While that's a good thing, unless you're moving your chickens to clean ground, they will pick up worm eggs pretty quickly and the process starts again. Verm-X needs to be used monthly and the normal recommendation for Flubenvet is six monthly, though some use it three monthly.

Chucky Mama
and the normal recommendation for Flubenvet is six monthly, though some use it three monthly. Flubenvet should for routine worming be used 3-4 times a year.
Jools
Flubenvet should for routine worming be used 3-4 times a year. Depends what you're reading as the general advice has always been twice, in spring and autumn.
