veggiemad
Hello fellow chicken lovers! just a quickie , i'm worming my ex batts for the first time since i got them 4 weeks ago. I have bought flubenvet and mixed it with 7 days worth of pellets as advised on the box. However - just want to check that i am not supposed to let them free range now until the 7 days is up, to make sure they eat all the pellets and dosage. Is this right? i feel abit mean keeping them in their eglu run-as they usually free range for a good few hours a day- but you've gotta be cruel to be kind i guess. could some one just clairfy that i'm right to keep them in. thanks
sjp
your not suppost to let them free range but I let mine out for an hour before bedtime that way they should have eaten the days ration I just leave out the bed time snack
Ain't Nobody Here
I agree with sjp . As long as they've filled up on the pellets all morning and some of the afternoon, a little freeranging every day is fine .
dippy bird
Glad you have said that as mine are running round my garden as we speak!! I have given them some treats as well, but only when I knew that they had stuffed their faces all day on the pellets!
sjp
If I don't let mine out they scream the place down pace up and down or look sad until I back down and open the door
