fluffyknickers
keep meaning to tell you this.... Yesterday morning around 7am ish I went out in the garden to let the chickens out. I heard an odd noise like a mini quiet bark and a russle of wings and then louder turning into a honk and a loud flap - I looked up and a single white goose was flying above - it was huge! Was really lovely to see as dont usually see that sort of thing and a brilliant noise as with every flap of wings it was doing a honk. Couperwife
sounds wonderful did you know that geese honk as motivation to the other geese - and keep them going on track at the same speed I think its rather cathy x

Rona
When I was settling my ex-batt girls in on their first day with us, - way back in 2007, 3 swans flew over the garden right above them. I was so taken with the 3 featherless little birds standing forlornly on the grass that I didn't really register the 3 beautiful birds giving them a very special flypast. Its the only time I've ever seen swans fly over the garden, although there are lots of them around here on the rivers and the broads.
