It's because its a funshade not a summer shade:)

A funshade is £11.75, I was looking when I bought the and thought the same as you - but there is a small saving.

I notice that you had to search for the funshade, and I certainly couldn't find one in the Eglu Extra's - Spares section (unless it was camouflaged). Most confusing

Found it... Eglu Spares - General. Shades seem to be spread across the shop quite liberally. Maybe there should be a section just for them?

 

And there I was hoping to to get a £1 saving on the separates

There was something on TV about supermarket pricing this week - Watchdog I think - and that gave examples such as tea bags, coke cans and toilet rolls being cheaper in smaller packs, and the supermarkets promoting the less economical pack sizes
