sparkysmum Posted October 6, 2009 Share Posted October 6, 2009 Have just noticed Boris my last ex batt isn't well. She was straining & straining & hasn't laid today. Hazel & I brought her in & noticed a bit of half formed shell. We bathed her, managed to remove the membrane & have phoned the vets & are waiting for them to call back. However she is still sad. We took her to the vets @ 6.15 and she seemed so poorly, but the vet gave her some fluids and checked there was no more retained shell and we brought her home (via Rainbows!). To my utter astonishment when we opened up her basket she was standing up She drank some water and has settled down in her basket in the utility room for the night. She's just passed a perfectly formed shell less egg, and then what I expect would be a shell, but more like another membrane. I think she might just make it. Fingers crossed for Boris.
