4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

I hope i dont seem too odd here and I know its a funny thing to ask but....

 

My family and I would love to have the experience of hatching some chicks. However (big HOWEVER) we do not have space for any more chickens (very small garden taken up with an eglu and 3 girls) so wouldnt be able to keep them and no point buying an incubator etc and eggs!

 

I know there are schemes whereby a company provides eggs and equipment then takes them away but I cant afford the £250 it costs!

 

So anyone got any ideas of how I can do this at home for someone/farm/company to give my family (and myself) the experience and ensure that the chicks are then sent somewhere HAPPY (not battery).

 

Sorry if you think its a weird thing to ask!

The fan on my inccy is broken but it worked ok last time, if it works ok with this lot you would be most welcome to borrow it and my brooder and heat lamp in the future

 

If you wait till early next year (or until I get tempted again ) I can supply the eggs and take the chicks too

 

It obviously wouldnt cost you anything that way

You can do some fertility testing for me next year if you like (frizzle pekins) & I'd take all chicks - unless of course you wanted some.

Just how we would get the chicks from Essex to Cheshire - I don't know.

Ha ha thats true! I would have to bring them in the car and have that as an excuse to have a night away somewhere!!!
